National Media Office Honours Media Professionals and Content Creators in Abu Dhabi
The National Media Office (NMO), under the presence of Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the NMO and the UAE Media Council, recently organised a ceremony recognising media professionals and content creators who have played a pivotal role in supporting the national media mission.
During the event, Abdulla Al Hamed reiterated the NMO’s dedication to working closely with media professionals and content creators, highlighting their significant role in shaping the UAE’s positive image, fostering societal awareness, and showcasing national achievements. He remarked that this recognition is rooted in the NMO’s commitment to nurturing talent, motivating creativity, and bolstering the media message that underscores the country’s values and future vision.
He also highlighted the upcoming BRIDGE Summit, scheduled in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10, as a unique opportunity to unify efforts among media professionals, creators, and content producers. According to Abdulla Al Hamed, this summit aims to “present to the world a model of media based on positive influence”, and he urged everyone to “seize this opportunity to enhance the presence of Emirati media at this summit.”
In an important announcement, Al Hamed also confirmed the launch of the National Bloggers Council, designed to unify the national narrative, reinforce national identity, celebrate achievements, and counter rumours and misinformation in the media landscape.
Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Director-General of the National Media Office, addressed the audience, commenting that the celebration honours media professionals and content creators whose contributions have “helped solidify the UAE’s presence on both regional and international stages”. He further stressed the importance of supporting media talent as a core part of the national vision, stating, “Today, we honour the creators of words — those who go beyond mere news coverage or the delivery of raw information. They actively participate in building societal awareness, instill a sense of belonging, and enlighten minds in an era crowded with competing narratives and a pressing need for confident, steadfast national voices capable of confronting diverse challenges.”
During the ceremony, Abdulla Al Hamed and Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi honoured media professionals and content creators who have distinguished themselves through impactful support of the state’s media message, elevating the UAE’s reputation in global media.
The event also featured a documentary film chronicling major milestones of Emirati media, achievements made possible by dedicated national media professionals, and scenes illustrating the invaluable role of content creators in raising public awareness and projecting the UAE’s positive image across digital platforms.
